Important! :
Some fabrics may appear to have small stains, or if white
and is old, may have slightly yellowed with the age. It is
important to know that these apparent imperfections cannot
be changed without destroying the article. However, the appearance
and story behind the product will actually be an enhancement.
Important! :
Silk Kimono and silk Obi sash fabrics are very delicate and
need special care. They should never be washed!
" ONLY DRY CLEAN AND ONLY IF
ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY! "
Important! :
Storage and care: It is always best to store our wearable
products enclosed in plastic zippered hangers. This way, they
can be protected from moths and other harmful influences with
cedar chips or some other appropriate repellents. Also it
should be remembered that high humidity can cause new stains.
After you wear a silk garment, it is best to air it out before
storing.
Important! : Let us
know how you want your product shipped. We will add the cost,
to include insurance.
Important! :
We cannot consider refunds or exchanges.

Artist Profile
|
|
Miyuki is
originally from the Niigata prefecture on the
North coast of Japan, and now lives in Hollywood,
California.
As a child
Miyuki had several kimonos, some of great age,
and it was then that she learned to appreciate
the colors, designs, texture and feel of these
special silks from her mother and grandmother.
Whenever they allowed her to wear these garments,
it would give her great pleasure.
As Miyuki
grew up, she dreamed that one day she would be
able to work in some way with the fabrics, and
she began to make a study of Japanese culture
and tradition as it was handed down through the
generations, and expressed in the design elements
of the fabrics. She was also trained with "Omote-senke"
(Japanese tea ceremony) and the "Kanze-ryu"
(Noh chant).
Now that she
lives in America she is happy knowing that she
can share this knowledge and joy with people who
are not Japanese.
